Data we process

Server log data

When you access this website, our hosting provider automatically records technical data that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system. This data is necessary to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable. It is not used to identify individual visitors and is not combined with other data sources.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact form

If you use our contact form, we process the name, email address, company name (optional) and message you provide, together with the language version of the site you used. We use this data solely to answer your enquiry and to manage any resulting business relationship. Your message is stored in our website database and forwarded to us by email.

Legal basis: performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Savings calculator

If you request a personalised estimate from the savings calculator, we process the plant parameters you enter and the email address you provide, in order to send you the estimate and to follow up on your interest in our technology. The parameters are transmitted to us by email; they are not stored in the website database.

Legal basis: pre-contractual measures at your request and our legitimate interest in commercial follow-up (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Booking a meeting

Our booking page embeds Microsoft Bookings, a service provided by Microsoft. When you open that page, your browser connects to Microsoft's servers, and any data you enter to book an appointment (such as your name, email address and preferred time) is processed by Microsoft on our behalf. Please refer to the Microsoft Privacy Statement for details.

Email

Our business email is hosted on Microsoft 365. Correspondence you send us is processed and stored within that service.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies without your consent.

When you first visit the site, a consent banner asks whether you accept analytics. Your choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage, key pw_cookie_consent) so that we do not ask again. This entry is strictly necessary to honour your decision and is set regardless of your answer.

Only if you accept, we load Google Analytics (operated by Google Ireland Limited) to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, for how long, and from which type of device — so that we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes a shortened IP address. We use Google Consent Mode v2, and advertising storage remains disabled at all times.

If you decline, no analytics scripts are loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain, which will bring the banner back.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future.

Disclosure to third parties

We do not sell your personal data and we do not pass it on to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We do share data with service providers who process it strictly on our instructions and under a data processing agreement:

  • One.com — hosting of the website and its database (server located in Europe)
  • Microsoft — email (Microsoft 365) and appointment booking (Microsoft Bookings)
  • Google — website analytics, only where you have given consent

We may also disclose data where we are required to do so by law or by a competent authority.

International transfers

Our hosting is located in Europe. Some of our service providers (in particular Microsoft and Google) may process data outside Switzerland and the EEA, including in the United States. Such transfers take place on the basis of appropriate safeguards, in particular the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the applicable adequacy decisions, together with the safeguards recognised under Swiss data protection law.

Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected:

  • Server logs: a short period for security and diagnostic purposes
  • Contact enquiries and calculator requests: for the duration of the exchange and for as long as needed to manage the business relationship, then in accordance with statutory retention obligations (up to ten years under Swiss commercial law where a transaction results)
  • Analytics data: for the retention period configured in Google Analytics

Data that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions of applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to processing based on our legitimate interests
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@p-wave.ch. We may ask you for proof of identity before acting on a request.

If you believe we are processing your data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EEA, with your local supervisory authority.

Data security

We use TLS encryption (HTTPS) for all traffic between your browser and this website, and we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Please note that data transmission over the internet can never be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children

This website is addressed to businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or in the applicable law. The version published on this page is the one in force. Please check back from time to time.
